[TB] Seattle has annexed out in to the suburbs. Its been done in Ohio
although I don't remember if its in Cleveland or Cincinnati. The City of
Honolulu includes the entire island of Oahu.
We have an obscene number of municipalities in Hennepin County, in the
entire metro area, each with its own Police Chief, Fire Chief, City Clerk,
City Manager, City Council. Not only is it extremely expensive, it makes
planning much more difficult than it should be. Merging all of the
municipalities in, say, Hennepin County would create some tremendous
efficiencies.
