Dean - you don't even have to attend conventions and caucuses. If you were
elected a Senate delegate last spring, you are a delegate until precinct
caucus time 2002, when a new batch is selected. That means you are eligible
for this year's Minneapolis ward convention and city convention.
My reform would stage a fresh round of precinct or ward caucuses in 2001.
Delegates selected would only be responsible for city-level races. If the
party needs to reassemble legislative/state delegates, I think they would
use those chosen in 2000 or 2002.
