I went to the meeting--and came home with plenty of materials (it would be
nice to get those on a website actually).....
A number of folks on this list were there: 8th ward candidate Robert
Lilligren, 8th ward Councilmember, and candidate, Brian Herron, 61 district
Rep. Walker, Wizard Marks, 10th ward candidate Ann Berget, and our fearless
List Manager David Bauer...... Peter McLaughlin was in the audience. I
didn't see the mayor--but I wasn't sitting in good place there.
The DOT folks went through a number of alternatives to putting the exits on
38th street, and they still think the 38th is the best alternative.
When I got home, I talked with my roommate about this. We both think 38th
sounds like the best way to do this. It would be nice to have 35 and 36 be
two way streets.
Lisa McDonald was at the meeting, and she really didn't like the 38th
St-I35W access ramps idea at all.
I left at 9:00--but the meeting was still going hot and heavy at that time.
There's a fair amount of chatter on the CNIA chat list on this, most folks
seem to favor the 38th street exit there.
Anyway, I'd like to hear other folks' impressions.
