Today, I joined the forum and was browsing through the archives when I came across a message from Rick Stafford regarding Lisa McDonald's conversation with Barb Lickness. Unfortunately, I have been a neighbor of Lisa for the past 12 years. I served on the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association with her and prior to her being a member. As to Ms. McDonald's response, she admitted that she was a DFL delegate for the last 8 years. I do agree and I also agree that the reason she became a DFL delegate 8 years ago was for the selfish reason of getting the DFL endorsement. However, 4 years ago when she sought re-election and the DFL endorsement in the 10th ward, she did not receive the endorsement. Despite the fact that McDonald promised the delegates that day that she would honor the endorsement process and not run if she was not nominated, she chose to run without the endorsement. In fact, she walked out of the convention when she realized she wasn't going to receive the endorsement. If you believe for a moment that she is a true DFLer, YOU ARE WRONG! She is more Republican than George Bush. She will dress in any clothes, wear any hats, talk any talk and appear to support any issues so that she will get her way. And when it is not her way, it is the freeway. Please don't be fooled. Her party status can be compared to Norm Coleman of St. Paul. Please be aware that most of her contributions do come from Republicans and FYI, she is married to one. Of course I'm not putting down any individual because of their party belief, but I would rather people be honest about their party affiliation. I would hope that people stop using the DFL party to their advantage.
