David:

I understand wholeheartedly.

The only thing I will say in my defense is that on
Thursday night past I was listening to Ted Koppel
interviewing a Customs Official talking about
smuggling and at the end of a rambling answer from the
official to a pointed question by Ted in which the
customs guy said about as much as our Mayor ever does,
Te replied good-naturedly, laughing his smirky way,
"that was a bullshit answer" and then that part of the
segment ended with Ted and the officials chuckling
together and practically hugging.

Well! I gosh darn fell off my chair. I was astounded.
Could not believe it. What has TV come to? I
immediately understood the concerns of the uptight
right who as my Father might say indelicately "They
wouldn't say **** if they had a mouthful." How coarse
can the medium become? And yet, how refreshing!

There was a movie back inthe late 60's titled PUTNEY
SWOPE about a minority owned ad agency and much more
and it was one of the funniest and most right on
movies that poked the eye in the prudish hypocrisy of
a society or culture that on one hand can be offended
by the word **** and on the other hang people from a
tree and stand and celebrate or tolerate from a
distance.

I will never use the dreaded expletive again. I
protest at the foolish hypocrisy of it and so much
more.
