Audrey Johnson speedily reports that school board member Ross Taylor is
running and Bill Green isn't:

Given that Sandra Miller is running for Council Member Herron's seat, who
else is leaving?
But more importantly, are there other candidates who have expressed
interest? The city DFL convention is less than five weeks away!
I can't but wonder if some of the parents who were behind the NAACP will run
for such an open board. They really didn't get their act together last
cycle, which surprised me since they had been so vocal about school board
policy. I'm also worried about stealth fundamentalists exploiting openings
such as this...
Anyway, my kid enters Minneapolis public in 18 months, so I'm damned
interested in who's out there! (And NO, I'm not interested in running...list
management is as close to public service as I want to get!)
