Just a little FYI on this point. I spoke briefly with
Dean at his post-convention gathering and he indicated
that he and his partner had a long standing
committment to get away together for a couple of weeks
after all the convention business was over. He said
that he was advised by others who had run for office
that he would probably want to do so just because the
time and energy he would need to use to get the
endorsement would take alot away from any personal
time the two would have together.

Sounds like a wise move to me. Maybe we should have a
Standing Rule to this effect in all parties.
