All the libraries in the system, I think, have a community
room which can be used for any sort of meeting, I believe.
Hosmer's community room and conference room (small) are often
used by book clubs and other organizations to discuss
whatever.
One of my dreams for the new central library has to do with
the children's room. If any of you have been to the St. Paul
central library, you have seen, I hope, the absolutely
fantastic carved wood puppet stage in the children's room.
One of the things that is "special" about going to the
library for kids is to see a show eminating from that
fabulous stage. While we could not mimic that tage, I would
surely like to see something equally beautiful at our new
library.
