It would also be nice to have the option of paying parking tickets this way
also. Optional is key to any of this.
I'd also be interested in seeing the City Website, with regard to council
minutes and such be more searchable. Attendance records for City Council
Members should be available in aggregate form -- that is percentage of full
council meetings attended, and percentage of committee meetings in which
the council member was a committee member would also be useful. I think
having this type of information easily available on the web would also
encourage more accountability from our city council members.
It would also be nice to have the votes on different issues in some sort of
database -- similar to the way you can search on bills at the legislature
to find out how your legislator voted on specific items at the revisor of
statutes site.
I got an email back from Ann Freeman -- the mayor's communications
director, regarding my post on the baracades on 10th between lake and 31st
and Elliot between Lake and 31st -- and she is forwarding the concern to
Buck Humphrey. I thanked her for this and encouraged her to ask Humphrey
to post the answer to the whole list.
