This is just a reminder to the list members that the Twins are playing
Cleveland for the next few nights and it's a real value for your money
to get the family out to the ol' ballpark. I went tonight and there
were 20,000 fans, not really a good number considering the race is for
first place.
It was an exciting game too. I saw probably the only infield homerun on
a bunt I'll ever see in my lifetime, plus a great catch at the fence by
a Cleveland player, their lead off batter (I'm terribly forgetful, so
you'll have to forgive my forgetting his name), plus Tom Kelly's
changing the pitcher and the Tribe instantly putting in a DH in response
about a gazillion times, and we win it in the bottom of the ninth after
they tied it up --- she reports breathlessly --- which is how I felt
pretty much the whole game.
You would too, if you'd just go out to the ball park!! Really, it's
great entertainment and these two teams are putting on a terrific show
that's family oriented. Just thought with all the politics we could use
a little talk about the boys of summer on the list, especially since our
boys are so SPECIAL this summer, by golly.
