The thing that I thought was so neat about the game was what Peter Gammons
said on ESPN last night.  Apparently the Twins are one of only a few teams
that still play on astroturf.

Nowadays most players are not used to playing on turf.  Turf
changes the physics of the game more than people realize. Gammons made the
assertion that the Twins are as good as they are because of the
metrodome.  It seems Minnesota voters know more about baseball than they
give themselves credit for.
