As I expected, Mr. Minn's blind support to McDonald without gathering facts
behind this development has led to his ignorant post. Mr. Minn, as we know,
has been a long time ally of McDonald, especially while serving on the city
council.
Mr. Minn stated:
>Anyone who reads this list knows damn well Lisa has worked for eight years
>to develop and promote the Midtown Greenway. I don't know what your project
>is or what parcel is involved, but if she had any opposition to your
>project, is was certainly an informed one, and not some vindictive rant as
>you suggest.
But Mr. Minn has failed to gather the information that the Midtown
Greenway Coalition representative, Tim Springer, was present and spoke in
support of the development. In fact, he thanked me for giving an 8 foot
easement for the greenway walkway. I am in support of the Midtown Greenway
and actions speak louder than words.
In case Mr. Minn has forgotten the process of sale of a property, yes the
city council approved the sale of the property to me before the planning
commission hearing. Today, the commission approved my plan despite
McDonald's petty interference.
Obviously, Mr. Minn's ignorance has shown through because of his lack of
observance at this meeting. Certainly he was not present to see, although
well aware, of his ally's tactics (as he is so accustomed to himself). For
those who have opposition to my comments:
Were you there personally to see McDonald's failure to listen to any of
the public testimony or basis for approval of this development?
Were you there personally to see that she was openly lobbying against the
proposal?
Were you there to hear her openly laughing at support of this development?
Were you there to see her questioning the chair on the vote count?
Mr. Minn, were you there watching her making a fool of herself?
I guess not Mr. Minn ("developing in Minneapolis"), or you would have
reserved your biased comments. Once again, to get back to the importance of
this issue, McDonald (your friend) is the vindictive one who uses and abuses
her power. She is running for public office and is subject to public concern
about her behavior and conduct. I am simply pointing out the facts to those
who are considering to vote for this dictator.
