rep for the Strib and they are going to run a correction on this
article either in his column or in the correction box on A2. I pointed
out that the article doesnt make clear that Jo was an ELECTED member
of the Board of Estimate and Taxation and, in fact, implies that this
was a volunteer position.

Steve Brandt replies: There will be no correction.  Members of the
Board of Estimate and Taxation are by definition elected, unless the
Library Board representative is one of that board's two appointed
members.  The Star Tribune doesn't run corrections for what readers
infer from an article, because the possibilities are endless.
