Sindbad's, It's Greek to Me, Christos, Tariq Cafe,
Emily's Lebonese Deli, Gardens of Solonika, Holy Land,
etc.
I am having dinner at Sindbad's tonight. Sami Risouli
is on the cover of Mpls. St. Paul Magazine for his
fine restuarant and store. And by the way, he just
became a citizen a couple of months ago and voted for
the first time. Much the way all of our parents and
grandparents did many years ago.
Tell me, when Timothy McVeigh bombed Oklahoma City,
did everyone run around wanting to gather up all the
blonde haired blue eyed people walking the street and
kick them out of the country back to where they came
from? Did anyone even ask what religion he was? I
think not!
Why should treatment be any different for the people
from all the different African and Arabic countries
who all just happen to be Muslim?
The unfortunate part is that I highly doubt the people
on this list are the ones that need to be reached by
this message and I don't know how you drill it into
the heads of those that do need to hear it.
