Forgive me for any redundancies, but I'm on digest mode ;o)

The most unfortunate part of this story are the remaining choices:
A pseudo-Green and a DFL lawyer. Question Number 1: Can
any Green party candidate defeat an endorsed DFL incumbent in the city
of Minneapolis? The answer, I believe, is only if they can draw
25% of the student body of the U of M. Can this Green party
candidate do this? I don't think so.>>>>
THE GOOD NEWS: No candidate *has to* draw 25% of the student body of the
UofM. According to the last figures given me, 25% of the student body
(we're including grads here, too, I hope) would be a whopping 10,000
people!!! Any candidate drawing that many votes in a nonpartisan city
council primary would (I'm just guessing here) make the Guiness Book.

And at least, Mr Zerby IS truthful, he tells you straight out that the main
reason
to vote for him is to defeat Ms. Campbell.>>>>
Mr. Zerby is partially truthful. He may be truthful in why he is running,
but the methods he uses to pursuade voters is hardly anything that even
somewhat *approaches* truth; "A vote for Cam is a vote for Joan"?? Again,
IT DOES NOT WORK THIS WAY in a nonpartisan primary. A vote for Cam is a
vote for Cam.
And, whodda thunk it! Enough votes for Cam defeats Ms Campbell too :oP

Holle - I can certainly understand a Green's vehement disagreement with
Paul Z. about the value of a new party...but "deeply offended?"

Again, the DFL has also failed to minimize personal vitriol and bring
the community together. (As have I, on occasion.) Some of us want to
change this from within, some from without - but many of us want change.
Let's debate how to get there, and convince the voters our path is right
- but not take offense at sincere differences of opinion.>>>>
Didn't someone (Melanie in Kenwood) already say that Zerby's/the DFL's
attitude toward Greens was.... *patriarchal*?! And what do we have here? A
man telling a woman how to *feel*?! Wow. I am literally stunned.
Mr. Brauer, would it be alright with you if I were offended now?
Thanks in advance,
