I was out at the airport tuesday, my first visit since the
tragedy. I arrived in a tractor trailer rig that weights 13 tons
empty. The trailer carried no identifying markings and the only ID on
the tractor was "US Postal Service" in letters about 2 inches high.
No one ever questioned who I was or what I was doing there.

I found several gaps in the Jersey barriers and guard rails
along the tarmac where I could easily have driven my truck right
through the fence. A gate house was empty and ground crews gained
access to the tarmac by merely pressing an ID card against a card
reader. I could of easily walked in behind the truck, hiding in the
blind spot behind, and have wandered all over the airport.

As for downtown, I suspect one could easily abandon a large
truck in the loading zones along any of the skyscrapers and while it
might attract a few tickets, it would be days before it got towed. If
one went to the bother of paying for a loading zone parking permit it
would probably sit there all winter.

        peace,
