Will Mr. Rybak be accepting something more valuable than cash donations, volunteers provided by the union?
There isn't a difference between taking cash donations or getting volunteers which mean that you have to spend less cash. Dozens of volunteers to make phone calls or drop literature means that you don't have to spend money on paid phone callers or postage. They seem exactly the same to me. Perhaps Mr. Rybak can respond as to whether he will be accepting volunteers provided by the union?
