Yes, it does. And I spoke with Vickie Brock and Dorie Mead Sept 18th about another historic 6-plx that was taken down without salvaging. At that time I asked why our neighborhood request for deconstruction/salvaging was ignored. I raised a flag about this duplex at 3648 Columbus and the plan to tear it down and asked about salvaging and our "Central Neighborhood Policy" to utilize the Green Institute. Evidently, the city has a hard time finding time to encourage salvage during the six weeks that followed. And now the home is gone. Which one is next in the City? Is there one in your neighborhood? I think this might make a good media story. I'm ashamed to admit that those are my tax dollars that tore that home down. What a city I live in! I wonder why the rest of the world sees America the way they do. -- Kim ____________________________________________________________ Kimberly Goodman Phone: 612-823-4488 3700 Park Avenue Fax: 612-823-3194 Minneapolis, MN 55407 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ____________________________________________________________ _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A Civil City Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
