I had coffee this morning with one of the new Council Members and some
others from Minnesota Multi Housing Association. One of the largest
affordable housing landlords in all of South Mpls mentioned that they are at
8.65% vacant. I am over 3%. The incredibly tight market is history. I
advise those policy makers ( who have cash at their disposal) who have other
pressing needs, to move on to items closer to home. The affordable housing
crisis will be over in 3 months if not already. Screening standards are
dropping. I hope the city doesn't punish those landlords who do "take a
chance" on someone.
