While we're talking about parks and streets and reducing crime and all that,
Annie, can you tell me why we don't have a bike/skating path at Powderhorn?  I
thought it was in an NRP plan years ago, but it never happened.  Dean kept
telling me he would look into it, but I never got an answer.  I know that it
would make the park safer here -- more people would use it for exercise.  And it
wouldn't interfere with the calm walks people like to take around the park since
it could be around the top and everybody walks around the pond.  By the way, we
have not had a lot of problems in Powderhorn in recent years, but there is a
perception that it isn't safe and also there isn't as much use as there could
be, and a path would go a long way towards getting people here.
