I tend to agree with Dore and (to some extent) Michael on this one. This should have been clear before the last election.
I also agree with Robin, I would like to see the City take the lead and get its own election process in order without the state leg. intervening. My biggest concern would be if the new wards are very different from the current ones. To have some people with two or three council members living in their ward(s) and others with none would be awkward and could seem unfair. This will certainly be an interesting issue to follow.
