I'm serving on an advisory group looking at the Tenant Remedies Act and its positive role in improving properties in the city. We're looking for one or two landlords to serve on that group. Preferably, a landlord who:
1. owns a number of properties but none so large as to really be in a different landlord league (i.e., we don't really need a rep from Dominium or Steven Scott management) 2. owns primarily in Minneapolis (preferably) or St. Paul 3. owns as a for-profit venture and not through a nonprofit 4. amenable to the TRA process and how it can be used positively (i.e., we can't have a crank whose purpose is to dismantle this tool/strategy or to "spy" on what we want to do--but we do want someone who could provide strong criticism, personal experience, and proactive advice and direction even if they disagree with some aspects of our program) 5. willing to meet regularly (about every month) for 1-2 hours to do some hard work in building this strategy positively Anyone interested should e-mail me off-list with some brief information about yourself (or someone you know) and I'll then interrogate you (not really, I'll be friendly and, after all, I'm likely setting myself up to having to say no thanks to some truly fine folks). Gregory Luce N. Phillips (work) North Phillips Press is a publication of Project 504, a housing related neighborhood organization based in the Phillips neighborhood. _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A Civil City Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
