I heard last night that the recent increase in drig trafficking and

I have not heard of any of the above items, I would hope that they are not

You can believe it is true. I work in the neighborhood and have noticed an
increase of both drug dealing and prostitution around Bloomington & Lake. I
try to report license plate numbers etc and call the police when I see this
kind of activity, but it is not always possible to do so. I have noticed the
same young men hanging around the corner of Bloomington and Lake day after
day. They often are walking the rotation, as I call it, walking around and
around the intersection, making themselves available to all four corners of
the intersection. I also have had cars pull over to solicit me as I am
walking over to the Mercado or down to Tai Peng to get some lunch. I have
arrived at work to find a prostitute working the corner of 15th and Lake. I
am usually sucessful in chasing them away by making my presence known to
them. There is one hooker who is known to all of our staff that is often
spotted in the evening. If she is known to us, I would imaging she is known
to the police. Anyway, I am sure there has been a definite increase in both
drug dealing and prostitution in the past year.
