Subject: Issues and Trails Wrong RT, these are as important as any issues that
face Minneapolis. All contribute to the quality of life that we want from
our city. We need to work on housing and getting resources to meet our
neighborhood needs(NRP), but we must never forget that Minneapolis is the great
place to live and take care of the "small livability issues" while looking at
the large ones. Like successful Crime and Safety solutions its the
livability issues which we need to not lose sight of. The small livability
issues are the bushes in the forest. We don't want to lose sight of the
mountain we have to climb, but we also don't want to forget to look at the
flowers that make the climb worth while.
So keep on looking and reminding us of the flowers
RT. The reason people find it worthwhile to contribute to solving those
"Bigger" problems are those small things like cross country and bike trails.
With out them this would not be a great city and probably not worth as much
effort as we must all give. The walks I take along the river in the mornings
refresh and make me eager to help, and I think the same is true for an awful lot
of folks.
