When I first moved to NE Minneapolis there was a bus line that ran down Broadway, which was very handy, but it was discontinued soon after I bought my house.
That has put a damper on my going to North Minneapolis, and it's a shame. Lately I've been mulling over the idea of a "sister-neighborhood" program connecting adjacent but segregated (in more ways that one!) neighborhoods--like the sister city idea, that connects cities from different countries. Sheridan and Hawthorne could benefit from being sister neighborhoods. The two are in the same ward, but it sure doesn't seem like it.
