If I was looking for a home to buy, I probably would be willing to pay a
small premium if I found a suitable home close to the LRT line. My current
place of employment (in the Bloomington Corporate Center) will have a LRT
station and being able to take LRT directly to work would be nice.

I used to get dropped off by the bus right at the BCC, but Metro Transit
changed the route so that the last stop is at the Mall of America. Ugh,
what a terrible walk during the cold days of winter. I am disappointed
that the route was changed, but I think it made economic sense for Metro
Transit to change the route, as few people used the route beyond the Mall.
There is another route that I can transfer to at the Mall that would take
me to the BCC, but it is quicker to just walk the distance than stand and
wait for the next bus.

I am kind of looking forward to the entire LRT line being opened up. I am
thinking of having my wife drop me off in Downtown at a LRT station and
then taking LRT to work. This could make for a conveniant ride to work. :)
