The 5- 3 votes were, as I understand it, 3 Dems and 2 Independents against
2 Republicans and 1 Green

It continues to baffle me why anyone would think that it is a bad thing for
a neighborhood to be divided by a ward boundary. I should think people
would be happy that their neighborhood has two city council members looking
out for their interests.

Overall, the plan adopted is fairly good. One not good thing is that it
pulls the bulk of Little Earth out of the 6th Ward and into the 9th ward.

Dean Zimmermann
Mpls City Council Member - Ward 6
612-673-2206
