Ya know. All of those who want to organize a party to raise funds "to oust the chief" better check with an employment attorney. I am not sure that the city could legally accept the money even if you raised it. And I don't think you will get R.T. to commit to firing the chief just because someone hands him a pot of cash to buy out his contract.
I know there's attorneys lurking out there. Weigh in on this one. There are serious legal issues here to consider. While the party idea is cute, I don't think it's practical.
