Is the list too powerful? Who's to say, but it is fun to think it might be.

As this story unfolded over the week+, I kept thinking that this was the
issue that could have really given Mr. Grow column fodder. The overall tenor
regarding Chief Olson on this list vs. various residents/friends I talked to
who are not subscribers, and the vast majority of public input the
Councilmembers say they received, were rather disparate.

The Dairy Queen issue was pretty even steven on the list, while support for
the Chief staying put, and there was some, was pretty sparse. As a subscriber
and reader of list posts, and with the knowledge that the subscribers cover
the political gamut, I could see how one might potentially get a skewed view
of the citizenry's prevailing opinion. Theoretically, of course.

I love the smell of politics in the morning... it smells like victory (or is
it teen spirit?).
