The BIG! Arbor Day/Interpretive Center celebration is
tomorrow. The weather forecast doesnt sound bad at
all so, by all appearances, this could shape up to be
a pretty darn good day and a lot of fun to boot!

For those not familiar with the area and because we
really want you to come, some directions and helpful
parking solutions:

Exit I-94 westbound at 49th- 53rd Avenue North (next
exit after Dowling Avenue North). The park is directly
to the east between the freeway and the river. You
will see the Interpretive Center peeking above the
sound barrier as you exit. The Arbor Day festivities
will take place one block north of the exit at the
picnic shelter.

The picnic shelter parking will be reserved for Xcel
water trucks and official vehicles assisting with the
days events but there is limited parking along the
frontage road of the park if you proceed to 53rd
Avenue and turn right to the frontage road.

We have also arranged for folks to park at Jenny Lind
School in the large lot at 50th and Dupont Avenue
North. Exiting the freeway ramp, turn left on 49th
Avenue North (west) to Dupont Avenue where you will
turn right (north) to the school parking lot. Shuttles
are provided to the park or, if you like, you can
walk. Street parking is available depending on how
quickly it fills up but please be mindful of parking
restrictions and do not use the Lyndale businesses
lots to park for the days activities.

Our northeast friends can always access the Camden
Bridge to cross the river, turn right (north) on
Lyndale Avenue to 49th Avenue and either cross the
freeway to the park and try for frontage road parking
or turn left for street or school parking per the
previous instructions.

Please also note that parking in the Interpretive
Centers lot will be reserved for handicap vehicles,
dignitaries and for the various organizations to
unload and set up their displays for the afternoons
activities.

A couple additional notes:

As a fellow dog lover and responsible pet owner, I
respectfully ask those of you bringing your
four-legged family member to observe the city
ordinance by keeping your dog leashed and plan to
clean up after them.

Check in when you arrive for the planting so you can
receive you official Arbor Day button and lunch for
all your hard work.

Thanks everyone and have a great time!!!
