I read Barb's description of her neighborhood with horror. I live less than 2 miles away but I might as well be on the other side of the planet (not that everything is perfect here, but at least it's habitable). I also kept thinking: I know where your cops are (who aren't doing anything). Actually they're busy elsewhere - beating up bike riders and stealing their bikes, hassling anarchists, mowing down demonstrators and carrying out 'ops' against the trees in the way of Hwy 55. We all have our priorities, after all.
