I too have had good response from Councilmember Lilligren when he gets the communication and it requires action. His staff has had some difficulties with double-booking both the councilmember and the staff. His staff has mis-stated facts on occasion in public meetings. I do miss the days when Laura Ayer (sp?) kept on top of everything in that office. But Mr. Lilligren himself has been consistent, accessible, and willing to learn when he needs to. I do think the position has been overwhelming, and learning the ropes he has, perhaps, kept his head down a bit. I hope and believe this will change with knowledge and experience. Any ward that has our issues is a huge challenge, even for a seasoned professional politician, let alone a "commoner". I don't see many lining up to step into such a public service position as the 8th Ward council seat and doing so with dignity and grace. ____________________________________________________________ Kimberly Goodman Phone: 612-823-4488 3649 Park Avenue Fax: 612-823-3194 Minneapolis, MN 55407 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ____________________________________________________________ _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A Civil City Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
