         You probably haven't heard of city council recall races here in 
Minneapolis because they are not allowed under the City Charter.

         Isn't that what these are for?
         - City 24-hour Automated Information Number (673-CITY)
         - City of Minneapolis Information Line  673-3000 -- "Call our 
customer service representatives, who understand City functions and 
services. Representatives are available to help direct your calls and 
e-mails to the appropriate department".
         These have been active in Minneapolis for some years (since back 
when Republican Mike Bloomberg was busy making his millions, rather than 
spending them to get himself elected Mayor of NYC).
