As a Central Resident I appreciate the complexity of implementing this clean-up effort. I also applaud the effort by a City Department to treat us like taxpayers and responsible, reasonable adults.
I support this program, even with the problems launching it. And I laugh every time we get the "ONLY NOTIFICTION" letter in duplicate (for our duplex conversion to single-family, not yet complete). With the transient population in Central, I'm glad this letter goes out regularly to inform our new residents of the expectations and remedies. If you live here, you live with it. If you own here, you are also responsible for your property. Ms. Young has been responsive and fair-- not always giving me exactly what I request, but working with me to create a solution when possible which honors both the rule and the intention of it.
