Eve White testified before the Hennepin County Commissioners in February and the County Commissioners asked that the non profits (including CCHT) get their vacancy rates to them within 2 weeks. For some reason, it took these non profits until mid May (3 months)to get this info to the Commissioners. WHY??? They were busy getting their units filled to avoid any embarrassment and possible sanctions.
CCHT had high vacancies because they would not rent to people without a solid rental history and work history. These are the people that they are supposed to rent to! That is how they have received millions of tax dollars for their projects. Who really are the landlords of last resort if CCHT and other non profits don't do what they have represented that they would?
