Is there a link between the Met Council and the Metropolitan Sports Facilities
Commission? A monetary link? I know that Met Council has levy authority over
the 7-County metro, but does any of their $ go to fund the MSFC?
Not that I'm aware of. The Governor appoints the Chair of the Sports Facilities Commission and the Mpls City Council appoints the balance of the members. The money comes from the Metrodome for funding the Sports Facilities Commission. The Dome is the only facilitiy the Sports Facilities Commission works with.
