Dear List: I can one up Alan Hooker...I am a supporter of Scott Dibble. I don't live in Scott's district, and I'm not even a member of the same party. In addition to all of the great reasons that folks have listed, I am supporting Scott because Scott geniunely cares about cultivating and nurturing young leadership.
When I began thinking about putting together a campaign for the Board of Education, Scott Dibble was one of the first people I contacted. Scott took time out of his busy life, in the middle of the legislative cycle, to meet me for coffee to talk about my prospective campaign. How many other legislators would do that? Scott has a geniune interest in people. He brings politics back to a level where he recognizes that people are the key and not simply afterthoughts. He cares about his constiuents outside of election years. I think it is fitting and proper that Scott take up trailblazing where Myron Orfield and Alan Spear left off. This Roche fellow is an opportunistic joke with a lot of time and money on his hands. He has failed to articulate an agenda other than to attack Scott Dibble. He will quickly learn that smear campaings, half-truths, and attack ads are not the way to go in Minneapolis. I say...a fool and his money are easily parted. -Brandon Lacy -Powderhorn Park _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A Civil City Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
