I am a supporter of Peter McLaughlin and certainly did not, and would not,
have made such a request because I believed this came from Peter. That being
said, I still think Peter should say so publicly, since the slur was
miss-guidedly done on Peter's behalf. . I thought Peter would be done a
favor by asking that he send something to the "List" to clear the air.

What David Brauer in his role of "List Manager" failed to see in my post was
that I was not a Eddie Felien supporter. Implying that I "slurred" Peter
McLaughlin is unacceptable even from the "List Manager". A request that
someone make a good faith attempt to right a wrong is not a "slur". It in
no way implied that Peter had anything to do with Wizards actions and in no
way slurred him.

Also I do not believe I was intending in any way to take on the role of
"List Manager". It was that the slur was not a slur, it was Slander of the
worst kind. It was also intended to do political damage that can not be
fixed with a simple apology. Being "catty" with another list member, however
egregious, does not even come close to the admitted slander that took
place.

Perhaps I should have taken a few hours to send this, just as the List
Manager should have taken a more complete reading of my post before saying
that I slurred Peter McLaughlin. I started out to send this as a private
"off list" message to David Brauer, but realized that the "List Manager" had
not done so himself and in fact had sent his message "On List". I feel my
reply "On List" is warranted because of that action, and the unfair charge
against me. Perhaps even the "List Manager" should take a little time before
sending such a message on List, and perhaps contact the person "Off List" if
they did not understand the nature of a post.

David Brauer does a thankless unpaid job as "List Manage", and I for one
appreciate this. All of us occasionally make mistakes, and we should be as
understanding of him as he is of us.
