One of the many reasons I'm voting Andy Koebrick for Secretary of State: >From http://www.countallvotes.org/positions.htm: Elections everyone can trust The Florida recount fiasco highlighted the importance of keeping the Office of Secretary of State above petty party politics. I have years of professional experience working with members of all parties, and a reputation of impartiality and trustworthiness. As an Election Judge in Minnesota I understand our election laws. I also have seen, from the front line, how the system can be improved: * Increase the number of Election Judges. Election judges work long hours (12-16 hours) on election nights. By the time the ballots are counted, everyone is tired and errors can ensue. * Allow non-partisan Election Judges. Currently only those affiliated with a major political party can act as Election Judge. Many Minnesotans consider themselves independents. They should not be excluded from participating in our democracy- especially when there is a shortage of election workers. - Jason Goray, Sheridan, NE __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
