First, it is not legal to post  campaign lawn signs on public property. If I am correct, I believe the statutes that govern this say that anyone who sees a lawn sign on public property has the right to remove the sign and discard it. Not sure, but I think I remember that from the campaign last year. However, that does not change the fact that it happens pretty regularly. Mostly, because people don't know it's not legal and secondly, people don't report it even if they do know.

If you see a lawn sign on public property and it irritates you, go pull it. You might want to wait and see if someone challenges me on this first though. If it's a Wellstone sign, they are supposedly worth $31 on Ebay.
