Sometimes reality is stranger than science fiction. Last week I went to Mayslack's to hear Dave Ray who was doing a solo act. I was able to enjoy one of Stan's famous roast beef sandwiches without getting overwhelmed by the cigarette smoke. It was very light.
But when Dave started singing, the smokers started showing up. Then it was one smoke after another until I had to get out (I have asthma and don't have a high tolerence. But poor Dave Ray who has lung cancer. He had to stay there because he *was* the show! I think there may be a lesson in that somewhere.
