One of the endorsing conventions for 61A/B was held at the Shriners Center on 26th and Park. I remember it started about 8:30 a.m. and the endorsements didn't finish until around 4:30 p.m. and the resolutions committee was just going to start meeting after that. There was a tiny room upstairs for child care. I think 8 hours in a tiny little room for kids is a bit much as was the time it took to do everything. It certainly was not family friendly as many people pointed out as they were leaving.
I think that was the year they held the precinct caucuses the same time as the endorsing convention. At any rate, it went on forever.
