I am the one who wrote the City Pages story referred to by Luce. I wish he had gone back and actually reread the story (it's at citypages.com/databank/23/1132/article10628.asp) before putting the words "not true" into his post. Contrary to Luce's assertion, my story never "indicated that the tenant coalition [Luce] is in plans to sue NRP."
For the record, Luce is quoted as being "actually somewhat optimistic" about his ability to work with NRP proponents to fix flaws in the program.The only reference to a lawsuit is a sentence in which I say that Luce believes his tenants group "has grounds to initiate a lawsuit challenging the NRP's failure to comply with its legally mandated responsibilities." The only way the City Pages story is an inaccurate depiction of current circumstance (it has never been "not true") is if Luce now believes his tenants group has no grounds for a lawsuit, regardless of whether he and his group intend to file one.
