Happy Black History Month List Members:

I have a novel idea. What if here, in America, we simply tell and teach history as it
actually happened. Just think . . we might not need to have a Black History Month
observance at all!!

Why? Because everyone would know the contributions, struggles, complaints and
victories that were made throughout the short history of this country and a picture
capturing one of those moments in time would have context when and wherever someone
sees it.

Whoops - just forgot - that's not how things have happened in this Great Land. So, I
guess we will continue to honor the experience of people whose cultural and ethnic
ancestry is from the African continent by designating February as Black History Month.

Peace, y'all.
