I'm very concerned with the idea that the press can't just go and talk with the police without going to a spin doctor, or department of big city propaganda. Where do we live again? Nazi Germany, Communist Russia/China, Iraq, or Minneapolis? I would like to think there is a difference in the interface the public has with law enforcement. The other side to this coin would be the lack of leadership to deal with this issue. To the council and the Mayor I would suggest, instead of playing defense with the problems play a little offense to show some leadership.
