My unauthorized guess at the number in the march and would be about 8,000 -
and it was damned cold. A lot of people didn't stay for the rally and
hurried to get back to a car or somewhere where it was warm. A committed
lot of people there were and mostly from Minneapolis I might add. And Gary
Schiff from the City Council was there along with Zimmermann.
Last night was the Grand Opening of our new coffee shop here in East
Phillips at the Phillips Garden Store. It was absolutely marvelous and one
of the most upscale happenings I have ever been to in Phillips. The food
was divine, wine was flowing and we were packed in there like sardines.
People were dressed to the hilt and the plants and flowers were
beautiful. 27th and Cedar folks - it is a happening place. Who would've
thunk?!?
