I think I know how they came up with 700. On Ch. 5, they showed this arial photo from a camera off the IDS showing a group of people. In that particular shot (of one location by Loring), there maybe were 700 people. For a person or media reporter who weren't there, looking at that shot and thinking that it encompasses all demonstrators, one could report 700. It's up to you to believe a number from one unidentified police officer or a bigger number from 10 or 20 others who were there. As for the local media, Ch.5 and PiPress who chose to use a concrete number, maybe it would help if they did show up to cover the event and get a feel for themselves. I didn't see one live shot from a ground crew from Ch. 5. I think I should have been watching Ch. 4! Anyone know of a pro-war demonstration? I've not heard of such a gathering. I know there was some guy (retired Colonel) in suburbia who printed some 200 signs in support of Bush. Where is the "Taste Great" to this "Less Filling" saga? -- Thomas T.
