I'd like belatedly to agree with Whiz, Greg and Connie that the Black
Mesa Coffee Shop is a jewel on Franklin Avenue. But they forgot to
mention a salient fact: Within the Black Mesa is the elegant Kokopeli
Gift Shop. Readers of Tony Hillerman's novels will recognize these
names. They're rooted in Native American history and culture from the
Four Corners area (Navajo, Zuni, Hopi...) The Mesa's proprietor, Tony
Genia, probably knows more about coffee than anyone in town, and it
shows. His various coffees are the best I've had this side of San
Francisco.
