So maybe Craig can tell us why he NEEDS interstate highways to get INTO Minneapolis. Isnt Rogers self-sufficient? Isn't that what attracted you to it, Craig?
Mark Anderson replies: Jim - You missed the whole point of his excellent post. His point was that Minneapolis is not self sufficient -- we need all the commuters form the suburbs to make our city run. He didn't say so in his post, but his implication was that the entire metropolitan area is interdependent, including Rogers. In other words, of course Rogers isn't self sufficient. Rogers needs Minneapolis, just like Minneapolis needs Rogers. Jim, you earlier made the excellent point that the whole metropolitan area should have one government because it is one entity. Well, Craig helps support that position is his post. Mark Anderson Bancroft TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1. Send all posts in plain-text format. 2. Cut as much of the post you're responding to as possible. ________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
