I read Vicky's statement as a jovial swipe at the Mpls. list members who have had their turn at jovial swipes directed at North Oaks. There's no need to get angry Mr. Driscol. - Dan Prozinski/Cedar Riverside
Andy says: I'd strongly suggest you back up that statement, Ms. Heller, with facts, figures, history, etc. I know of a good deal of direct involvement of the Hill family with many Minneapolis organizations and institutions...not the least of which have been both the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and Minneapolis College of Art and Design. These proclamations you make without a shred of substantiation are irresponsible and needlessly mean. An aside: foundations like the Northwest Area Foundation are not really family foundations, although many families remain as trustees. The Hill family endowed this foundation, but the mission has shifted and specific targets for its largesse have moved with the times as well. Foundations are formed, generally, as both a help to the community and a place where taxable income may receive more favorable tax treatment. Keeping both in mind, the personal feelings of family members will play little in the foundation's funding decisions. Andy Driscoll Saint Paul TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1.
